This is a secure portal for you to upload your music digitally over the internet. This means no CDs will be used at the competition.

Why send my music over the internet?

Submitting your music over the internet has several advantages. You can send your music on ahead and get confirmation that it has been received and works before you even leave for the event. It also results in a more stable and reliable playback with less likely jumps or skips.

Is it secure?

Yes, our system is closed to all other competitors and public and the files submitted are only available to Musikür and the competition organising committee.

How do I send my Music?

The process of sending your music is simple, just click on the upload button above to be taken to the upload page. Click “choose files”, “choose from computer” or similar; or simply drag the file into the window. The system will accept any file type, however we recommend for ease of use for all that you submit file in mp3, m4a or wav formats.

Please make sure you include the name of the rider, horse and level when you submit your freestyle as if you do not we cannot guarantee that it will not be lost amongst the dozens of files that we recieve for each competition.

Will you tell me that you have recieved my music?

It depends on the competition. The system will automatically generate a message when the file has been uploaded and you may take that as confirmation that the file has been recieved. However, at large championships and CDIs we will endevour to provide confirmation of your files if uploaded before the first day of the show. You may also request a reciept in which case you MUST supply a valid email address.

My music is only on CD, what can I do?

If your CD was made by a freestyle creator, you could ask them to send you a copy of the original mix. Alternatively, insert the CD into your computer and open up Windows Media Player if you are on Windows, or iTunes if you run a Mac.

In WMP double-click on the disk on the left sidebar to open it (it will usually say Audio CD or the name of the album) and then click “rip CD” on the top bar. Before ripping you may consider changing the settings which are located directly to the right of the Rip CD button.

In iTunes click on the disk icon on the top bar to open it, and then click on “import CD” on the right hand side of the top bar.

In both of the above cases, you will have the opportunity to rename the music file before your proceed. This is a good idea as in most cases, it will default to the name “01 Track 1”. Your music will then be ripped to your music folder (you can search for the name of the track if you do not know where that is). Again, in both cases, you are also able to adjust the settings of the format the CD is imported to: WAV files are the best quality but they are large; sometimes many megabytes, on the other hand, MP3s are smaller, but lower quality. Generally, most people cannot tell the difference between a high quality mp3 and a wav file; especially in a competition arena which usually has fairly poor aucoustic properties. We recommend that you import in the MP3 format at 48,000 samples per second and a 320 mbps bitrate; this usually results in a file 10—15 Mb in size.
